The T-64 Rhino is the oldest tank still in service in the Russian Federation.
During the Cold War, the Soviet Union was unrivalled in tank numbers. They produced more than 55,000 T-55 tanks, and the T-64 received an adequate number as well, around 13,000. So many were produced, that when the USSR fell in 1991 the new Russia did not really know what to do with them. So, they put them in reserve, to be used only when time feels it's necessary. When the Russo-European War broke out, the Russian forces decided to secure their upper hand by deploying these old museum pieces, mainly as expendable assets to boost manpower in the field. They come refitted with many new innovations in armor, allowing it to be lighter, and capable of being paradropped into wherever armor is needed. They are meant to be cannon fodder, and their main role is to protect and draw away fire from the more advanced Kodiak tanks, and rapidly reinforce the front line wherever needed. They are armed with a D-81T 125mm smoothbore cannon, which is capable of firing anti-tank missiles from its barrel.
