Forgotten Forest is a 2-player map for Rise of the Reds, originally created for the vanilla Zero Hour.
Overview[]
The frigid October wind howls throughout its landscape and along with it is the symphony of gunshots, explosions, and screams of the wounded. This map is set in an area that is partly forest and partly abandoned farmland. This map is small, yet wide open, leading to quick and fierce battles and very rarely to late-game situations; due to this, GLA and China have a small advantage on this map. Helping this is the fact that resources are very scarce: aside for the initial supply dock and some other scattered supplies near the player's base, the only other sources of income would be two oil derricks and secondary economy. Therefore, in order to have an initial upper hand it is imperative to control the oil derricks as early as possible to grant a stronger push towards the enemy base.
